The Italian Institute for Studies on Co-operation "Luigi Luzzatti" is a forum for debate and study at the service of the co-operative
movement.
The initiatives
developed by the Luzzatti are aimed at promoting the
principles and values of mutuality as well as at developing co-operative
entrepreneurship as the real accomplishment of solidarity and economic
democracy.
The Luzzatti
operates in close collaboration and in agreement with both the Italian
Directorate General of Co-operation (Minister of Economic Development) and the
National Associations of the co-operative movement. In particular the Luzzatti aims are:

to promote increase and
development of studies and research on historical, economic, social and law
features about work and co-operation;
§
to organise meetings,
debates and demonstrations in features of work and co-operation;
§
to maintain systematic
relations with foreign similar institutes;
§
to patronise the
realisation of studies and documents;
§
to promulgate awards
for studies on features concerning co-operation;
§
to care about the
diffusion of the co-operative principles also by organising courses for
co-operators;
§
to realise initiatives
intended to propagate the knowledge on doctrine and methods of co-operation by
promoting specific lessons at the secondary schools, and even more so at the
university;
§
to publish the Review
of Co-operation; to form a specialised library of Italian and foreign reviews
and books.
